SummaryThis position is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations.
Job Duties:
Perform operational check of assigned wells and associated equipment and facilities as necessary.
Inspecting oil wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors and attached piping components for leaks or unusual conditions and taking correct actions.
Check wells, maintain normal operating levels, pressures and flow on separation equipment, making adjustments to automatic and manual controls.
Witness purchaser's gauges and tests, ensuring accuracy, for sale or transfer of crude oil and water.
Conduct production tests, including minor repairs on surface production and injection equipment.
Assume responsibility and authority to stop unsafe work on Marathon location by employees or contractors.
Help maintain compliance, in conjunction with HES team and production team, with all regulatory, environmental and safety regulations.
Prepare, maintain and submit daily reports and records of gas/liquid volume, well pressure and volume of chemicals used.
Monitor and optimize production and costs within area of control.
Competencies:
Computer knowledge - Proficient utilizing MS Windows environment Strong initiative and self-starter Ability to keep neat and accurate records Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritizing Excellent Interpersonal Communications skills in a team environment General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Ability to identify operational inefficiencies Understanding of Business fundamentals Ability to implement cost effective solutions Technical Skills related to math and analytical thinking Understanding of Importance of environmental and Safe Work Practices Physical requirements:
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, fixed to various equipment during production and drilling operations.
Walking, bending, lifting, stooping is required Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms Must be able to work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions
Qualifications:
1-3 years' O&G Pumper/Operator experience required; must have ESP, Artificial Lift, SCADA; Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to utilize laptop PC and applicable software; familiarity with EVIN production software packages a plus.
Excellent mechanical abilities and troubleshooting skills High school diploma or equivalent required.
