Summary:
The Automation Manager is a leader of a team responsible for implementing, delivering, testing, installing and maintaining our technology systems and solutions.
Specifically, the role includes the management of our systems and employees in the field and ensuring efficient execution of field installations and trouble calls in addition to ensuring the successful maintenance of installed systems over time.
This position is also responsible for the overall management of automation employee's time as well as ensuring that the division is invoicing customers timely and on a consistent basis.
Proactive communication and teamwork are essential to be successful in this position.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Interacts with customers to understand their expectations and translates objectives to our project teams as well as to subcontractors and vendors Directs and manages full scale project plans and project life-cycles after the field deployment, testing and post installation support Oversees, manages and coordinates complex electrical and automation system deployments Manages crews on large scale projects, coordinating schedule and actions Recommends methods, materials and layouts for improvements based upon feedback from field operations and customer requirements Directs the preparation of detailed installation engineering designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and quantity estimates for product/system deployment Develops RFPs and bid documents for sub-contractors and vendors and leads, coordinates and communicates contract awards Reviews subcontractor's submittals and work products to ensure compliance with required scope of work and deliverables Generates internal and external progress reports and interacts with customers to coordinate schedules and activities during project deployment Develops/implements reporting schedule Ensures thorough, timely, and efficient documentation of processes, while ensuring all company field procedures and protocols are observed Cooperates with technical team and shares information across the organization Comprehends customer expectations and makes appropriate recommendations Clearly communicates expectations to team members Conducts job approvals on a regular basis to ensure timely billing and Manage projects from start to finish May assist with troubleshooting and repair electrical circuits and equipment Attend job-site meetings as necessary, ensure crews are working safe Participating in required QHSE and technical training as required per the position.
Obtaining required certifications as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities and assigned.
Perform duties in the most efficient and cost-effective manner as possible.
Maintain, clean and care for all assigned equipment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High level of enthusiasm, strong integrity, and excellent organizational and communications skills Five (5)
years' experience in oilfield electrical/automation with management experience Extensive project engineering/project management hands-on experience in the field is a must Solid understanding of electric and automation infrastructure Familiarity with commonly used tools electrical and automation applications Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills Ability to elicit cooperation from other departments Strong communication and customer service skills Must be able to work effectively under pressure Must consistently meet deadlines Work under minimal supervision Be efficient and organized with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid Driver's License Must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This position also requires driving and being in the field.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full-time position.
