ABOUT THE JOB
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to determined timelines and budgets.
Manages the project team(s) - and may be responsible for building the project team.
Manages project development and ensures quality control throughout the project life cycle.
Is accountable for project results.
Works with Key Stakeholders to complete the Project Charter - outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.
Completes work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
Provides a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
Clearly communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders.
Acts as a mediator between stakeholders and team members.
Resolves any issues and solves problems throughout project life cycle.
Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved within the Project Charter.
Determines the resources needed to successfully complete the project within the schedule constraints.
Tracks and reports on project milestones and provides status reports to Management, Customer, and/or Key Stakeholders.
Leads, coaches, and motivates project team members on a proactive basis.
Determines how results will be measured and completes a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.
Develops tools and best practices for project management and execution.
Ensures all project documents are safely archived following project completion or project suspension.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field - or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated leadership managing people.
Knowledge of Project Management tools and/or software packages.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strategic, operational, and technical management skills.
Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written.
Ability to communicate with customers and represent Xdin in a professional manner.
Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments.
Ability to develop and track budgets and business case metrics.
3-5 years (depends on specific job) of project leadership/management.
PMI Certification is a major asset.
MBA or Six Sigma belt certification are a plus.
Automotive experience is preferred.
