Accounts Payable Analyst

Seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst who is hands-on, self-motivated, dependable, well-organized and results-oriented professional with the ability to demonstrate a proven track record of meeting weekly and monthly deadlines and goals.
This position will be responsible for the full cycle processing of all accounts payable invoices to ensure the prompt payment of vendors while complying with the Company's policies and controls as well as Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Responsibilities:
Import vendor invoices from electronic vendor accounts payable software to the corporate accounting Software
Analyze accounts payable data, remove errors, correct warnings; taking into account company's policies and procedures pertaining to general coding, AFEs, and JIB.
Prepare AP Batch for Posting
Process manual invoices not submitted through the electronic accounts payable software
Create miscellaneous cash journal entries
Void returned checks when appropriate
Assist with year-end 1099 preparation

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
5
years of Oil and Gas experience.
Knowledge of Joint Interest Billing, AFE, oil and gas cost accounting
Solid analytical and organizational skills; effective ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies
Strong problem resolution skills including ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices in corporate accounting.
Ability to excel within time constraints and rapid turnaround situations.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Effectively maintain good relations with others.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
