Materials Coordinator

The Materials Coordinator position for Parsley Energy is located in the Midland office and reports to the Division Procurement Manager in the Permian Division in Midland, Texas. This position is responsible for supporting, at the division level, all of the materials management and logistical planning functions for Parsley Energy's Permian operations. As such, this person is primarily tasked with ensuring timely equipment deliveries to job/protect locations on a JIT basis, arranging for various equipment movements (whether new from vendors or company owned property), assisting in the accurate recording of said movements, troubleshooting problems and/or discrepancies as they occur in the exchange of information from the field to accounting. Additionally, this position will perform certain other direct procurement based tasks as directed by the Division Procurement Manager, as such needs arise.

Job Description:
Will be involved with recording material movements, including communicating with Parsley Energy operations staff to plan for receipts and/or loadouts.
Maintain proficiency in invoice management software to assure timely processing of vendor invoices and capturing of early pay discounts.
Liaise with Parsley Energy A/P and A/R groups to moderate and/or mitigate vendor disputes over late or lost invoices, receipt discrepancies, and other commercial questions as they arise.
Maintain files at a division level for audit purposes.
Plan and administer vendor meetings as required to brief division operations staff on current and/or ongoing concerns with supply, quality, or performance.
Maintain continuing education to continue professional growth, particularly in Procurement and Materials Management skills.
Travel to field locations as required to assist in physical inventory processes and key vendor meetings.
Requirements:
Associates Degree (minimum); Bachelor's degree in business discipline a plus. Will consider additional years of service in a similar capacity in lieu of meeting the minimum education threshold.
4 - 6 years experience in similar oil and gas, materials management role, with direct oilfield procurement experience a plus.
Must have excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Power Point and Excel.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline based environment.

This is a salaried, non-exempt, professional position typically working a 40-hour week in an office environment. Overnight travel is infrequent (estimated less than four (4) overnight trips/year). Some day trips to the field may be required to assist in physical inventory efforts and/or vendor visits. Typically seated at a desk in a computer work station environment. There is little to no lifting and this position may required extensive phone interaction.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
